How scammers manipulate Discord invite link detection
Many users try to manually set up automod rules to block discord.gg or discord.com/invite links. However, scammers have found ways to manipulate Discord's invite detection system, making messages appear completely different from what is actually typed.
For example, a scammer might enter a message like this:

> gg/invitecode>>**
When rendered in Discord, it appears as a normal, clickable invite link:

This is why blocking these types of scams is challenging. Scammers can use various methods to bypass current automod filters while still providing clickable links.
